As of today we already have over 100 RSVPs, don’t be the one at the office who wasn’t at the best party of the month! Comic Bill Burr will also be in town on April 13th. He is performing at The Tabernacle! Both Taylor Swift and Rihanna are in town this month at Phillips Arena gracing the great Peach State. You know that we love our four legged friends and that we are a pet friendly hotel but don’t be fooled the Dogwood Festival has absolutely nothing to do with animals! This arts festival is held in Piedmont Park which is a beautiful walk from the Artmore Hotel.

Back in 1983 the Dixie Classic Festivals were formed. The festival is open to all performance arts groups including (concert, band, choir and orchestra). This type of open festival is to inspire the growth and artistic expression. Although the festival gives out awards it is purely on a non-competitive basis.They are judged by a group of nationally known adjudicators.
Atlanta happens to be one of the six locations for the festival this year. Hickory High School Orchestra from Chesapeake, VA will be performing in the Dixie Classic Festival on Friday, April 12th. They are staying at Artmore Hotel this weekend and we couldn’t be more excited. We wish them luck and applaud them for their dedication to the Arts. We are sure they will receive many accolades and hope to see them back next year.

This exhibition will feature February 14, 2013 – May 12, 2013 only at the High Museum of Art and this will be the only exhibition in the United States. The exhibition features many paintings drawn from Mexico’s Dolores Olmedo collection as well as Jazques and Natasha Gelman collection of Mexican Art. Formerly the Granada Suites Hotel, the Artmore is the reinvention of an historic architectural landmark building in the heart of Midtown.
