Music and culture will take over downtown and midtown Atlanta @ the end of May. Come celebrate the 25th Annual Caribbean Festival on May, 25th beginning on Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW/Simpson St NW and ending with the Festival Village on Martin Luther King Jr Dr SE. There will be food, fun & festivities and the event is FREE. Memorial Day weekend come down to Piedmont Park & enjoy some smooth Jazz @ 36h Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival.

Battle of the Bands
Attention music enthusiasts! There are only nine days to go until the biggest marching band event in the nation! Yes, the Honda Battle of the Bands Invitational Showcase is back in Atlanta next Saturday, January 26 at the Georgia Dome. This year, 8 marching bands from Albany State, Alcorn State, Bethune-Cookman, Edward Waters College, Jackson State, North Carolina A&T, Tennessee State, and Winston-Salem State will be showcasing their unique talent and style for all to see.
Usually these performers are the halftime show, but there is a special treat in store for the Battle of the Bands’ halftime. R&B superstar, Brandy will be performing live during the event fresh after the release of her new album, Two Eleven, featuring the hit single, Put It Down. This showcase will indeed be the event of the year.
Turn the Battle of the Bands event into a memorable weekend at the Artmore Hotel in midtown Atlanta, close to all of the action. We are less than 15 minutes from the Georgia Dome. CHEERSPORT
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN CHEER? We will see which squad has the hottest cheers, dances, tumbles and more at this year’s Cheersport competition. That’s right Atlanta! The world’s largest cheerleading competition is coming back to Atlanta and will take place at the Georgia World Congress Center February 15 through 17, 2013. With only 33 days to go, the GWWC will be filled with more than 1,000 cheerleading squads from all over the nation.
Downtown Atlanta will come alive with activities and special events to celebrate the occasion. Being the host city, Atlanta will be filled with Cheersport banners hanging on light posts and billboards highlighting the most outstanding events of the day. As you may already suspect, hotels and restaurants will be packed with cheerleaders, their families, and supporters. Still need hotel accommodations? JEFFREY FASHION CARES ATLANTA CELEBRATES 20 YEARS THIS AUGUST 2012
Cheers to 20 years! Arbiter of style, Jeffrey Kalinsky, creator of two namesake boutiques in Atlanta and Manhattan and the founder of Jeffrey Fashion Cares, will join Event Chairs Lila Hertz, Jeffrey McQuithy and Louise Sams in producing the 20th anniversary of Jeffrey Fashion Cares Atlanta. The official kick-off to the fall social season, this year’s event will be held at the American Cancer Society Center, located in the heart of Downtown Atlanta, Georgia. Benefiting the Atlanta AIDS Fund and Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Greater Atlanta Affiliate, the 20th anniversary celebration will feature a pre-show cocktail reception, fashion show, silent and live auctions, and an after-party.
